OnboardingEmerging Pattern

Eliminate onboarding friction with immediate async access to service delivery

Give customers instant access to submit requests or use the service without scheduling calls or waiting for proposals. One onboarding touchpoint, then everything happens asynchronously. This removes friction and becomes a selling point—clients can start immediately instead of waiting days for discovery meetings.

When to use

For service businesses or tools where customers can self-serve through defined workflows (support tickets, design requests, task queues). Works when deliverables are standardized enough that you don't need extensive discovery.

Don't do this

Requiring discovery calls, proposals, or lengthy onboarding processes that delay time-to-value. Over-engineering async tools when synchronous communication would be faster for complex custom work.
